this is what i'm working on now. a sweet horse and cowgirl pattern from Sew Lovely Embroidery. this is gonna be for my aunt nancy for christmas. oh, and i got the cute little pink w/polka dot embroidery tool case from sublime stitching. it's too cute!

another swap sent off...

so my partner received her bag i sent out. it now resides in canada! my stuff is so international! sweden, U.K., and Canada. let's keep it goin!
i loved this bag. got it at michael's and am hoping they have more next time i go. this was for the gina matarazzo embroidery swap on swap-bot. gina's patterns are soo cute!

i've had this for awhile. so i decided to send it to my cousin melanie in oregon. i really love this one but had never put it up or anything, so i figured it needed a new home. i was kinda upset that it got a little dirty sitting in the hoop for so long, but you can't tell that much, prob not once it's up on a wall somewhere.

just mailed it off yesterday with another piece i did for swap-bot(a purse--gonna have to do some more of those) and i mailed a postcard to my dear friend kat in germany! it's fun mailing stuff off. and even better to receive stuffs in the mail! what fun! so i'm just finishing up a contest piece for badbird designs(stitched by hand group on flickr). and then i think i must really start thinking about xmas gifts! it'll be here in no time!

Phat Quarter Movie Swap

so this is what I made for my swap partner in the phat quarter movie swap. one of her fave movies is "The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou." (which i love, too!) so i decided that it would be super fun to stitch up the rainbow sea horse. so pretty! and in my last swap on swap-bot, i got some wonderful deep blue sea patterns from katy at sew lovely embroidery with the perfect sea horse pattern! the timing was just perfect. i wanted to put it on blue material or do something with it to look like water, but i ran outta time after working on a contest piece and having my apt flood. but really, it looked too good to mess with once i finished. wanted to get it shipped off to the UK right away! hopefully it's there now or the next few days.

bday stuff

ok, so yeah, my bday has come and gone...and i'm still talking about it. well, i'm not online at home at the moment so i get behind of stuff i'd like to post and what-not.

here's my wonderful, oh-so-cute owlie gift from a wonderful friend. dawn's really helped me out with my owl collection a lot, too!

My Friday the 13th celebration(and extended birthday celebration). From Elm Street Tattoo in Dallas. They do 24 hrs of tattooing various 13's every Friday the 13th. Good times...
