A birthday present for my neice. It was a race against time there at the end, but I did it. Finished in the nick of time for the birthday party. It's one of the SewLovelyEmbroidery designs. Really cute!

so i got my cowgirl designs! so excited. i really wanted to start on the wanted cowgirl but didn't have a hoop big enough. instead, i started on the lil' cowgirl on the horse, a gift for my neice's 2nd birthday. i finished the horse last night and practically stitched myself silly. seriously, i was feeling dizzy and just couldn't even keep my eyes open any longer! had to force myself to stop. mighta gotten sick had i not. haha. so i got a lot of work to finish it by saturday. will do though. i think she'll turn out really cute. and my niece and fam are even going to the fort worth stock show after the birthday party, so the lil cowgirl is totally appropriate! :-)
and my little pax is always by my side...

i wish this pic wasn't so dark, but you get the point. sleeping with my hoops. haha. so cute.

(p.s. is it friday yet??? i keep trying to convince myself it is, but....not quite. soon, very soon)

moustachios!!! (though i'm more about the beardos myself!) but you kinda gotta have a moustache to go along with that beard, man. not into the beard only/no moustache combo. nuh-uh! (well, i better say it all depends on the person. i've got a good friend that sports a pretty badass goatie/no moustache...so yeah)

what i did this weekend...

i've been working on the pinup girl all day. my eyes are very tired. i loved the way it turned out though. she's so cute. the design is from needlecrafter.com. i've got another one that i'm eager to do from that site. tried out the fan stitch there in the corner. just learned that from "Embroidery Effects."

and i tried out putting a design on a t-shirt. (even wore it sunday...dork, i know...) i'm happy with my first garment. went with the cupcake of guadalupe design from pimpstitch.com. cool and cute!

oh, and i did go out friday night. went and saw the derailers at dan's silverleaf in denton. it was a great show. a lot of fun. but yeah, spent the rest of the weekend working on these projects. didn't get anything done around the apartment that i need to do! did not go see my family! gotta try not to neglect the rest of my life...

So I went and got "Embroidery Effects," new book by Jenny Hart. Pretty groovy and with some projects and designs included. I got this design from the book. Turned out pretty cool.

my favorite album of 2009 was Coconut Record's "Davy." I can listen to it anytime and over and over again, and it just makes me feel good. real fun to sing along to.



and is jason schwartzman not the most adorable thing ever?!?!

other notable albums this year(i'm no expert) Monsters of Folk. i really fell in love with this album from the first listen! and...Avett Brothers, I and Love and You. I just recently heard that one, and it's excellent. lovely, just real good. :-)
