Made this for my dad for his birthday/Father's day. I know, I'm bad, but that's what happens when it's so close...and when i start kinda late...oops. love ya, dad. :)

i seriously found the perfect frame, and it really is just what i had in mind! i love it. i kinda wish i woulda bought a couple more of those frames while they were on sale. i should check and see if that's still going on. think it was for father's day though. anyway, michael's always has coupons and sales. now i want one for me and everyone else i know! haha. oh, and it's a Sew Lovely Embroidery pattern, of course. From the Mad Ink designs.

this next thing, i'm kind of ashamed of...but...i'm watching the damn bachelorette and this b*tch won't stop talking about this bentley guy and he's AWFUL! AWFUL, really. i can't believe i'm watching this, and it's driving me cray cray!!! i hate this show. LOL. (sorry about the b-word, but there's just no other way for me to describe her in this situation. i can't help it.)

'bout ready for christmas

yes, i've posted this piece before. but now it's framed and bout ready to give it to my aunt for xmas. i think it looks good. had a hard time finding the right frame.

and here's some more christmas gifts. just picked up these felt bags from starbucks and added the names.

well, it took awhile, but i finally finished. love the way it turned out! gotta find the perfect frame now!

not quite done...

but i finally finished the hardest part, the face. more specifically the mouth. took several tries. i remembered a pinup face tutorial on the Sublime Stitching Blog, and that helped a lot! simple but so hard to get right. i'm happy with the way it turned out.
:-) just finishing up the border. should be done tomorrow! i stopped working on it for a bit, but now i'm eager to finish!

this is what i'm working on now. a sweet horse and cowgirl pattern from Sew Lovely Embroidery. this is gonna be for my aunt nancy for christmas. oh, and i got the cute little pink w/polka dot embroidery tool case from sublime stitching. it's too cute!

pinup swap on swap-bot

look at the wonderful pinup girl i got from katy from Sew Lovely Embroidery! her name is Lolita. :-) and she is gorgeous! this is really amazing. i just sat there and stared at every part of it for about an hour. and i would, of course, be happy with anything or anyone in the swap, but i was secretly hoping it would be Katy. I love Sew Lovely Embroidery! and she threw in some Deep Blue Sea patterns. and it works out perfectly because one of the patterns is exactly what i need for the phat quarter movie swap! How Lovely! oh, and how cute is the squid with and ice cream cone and balloons!?!?

I'd been wanting to stitch this one up for awhile and figured this would be a great opportunity for it. Did some color-tinting with pencils, which made the difference! love the way it turned out. :-) though i wish i had a better pic. just a cell phone pic.

hello. i realize i haven't been keeping up with my blogging duties lately. well, i've been working hard to finish a mother's day gift. yes, it's late. but i didn't realize it was gonna take so long. started it at least a week and a half before mother's day. but it's gonna be sooo pretty. can't wait to finish it! will post soon, promise.

renegade craft fair is this weekend in austin. http://www.renegadecraft.com/austin i wanna go sooo bad, but i've got so much to do. cleaning, packing, more cleaning, and more packing. the weather is a mess out right now anyway, and i gotta save the gas money. hopefully next time! i really wanted to try to go meet Jenny Hart from Sublime Stitching. Oh, well. some other time :-(

Giddy Up!, Cowgirl.

A birthday present for my neice. It was a race against time there at the end, but I did it. Finished in the nick of time for the birthday party. It's one of the SewLovelyEmbroidery designs. Really cute!
